Are you in for another frighteningly good time?  Join our very own "Queen of Halloween" (aka Pollie Coleman) as she brings you The Coffin Express, just in time for the Halloween season!  Jump aboard as you take your mixed media skills to the bone-y side, enhance your techniques using alcohol inks to create depth and dimension as well as imitate a wood appearance, reshape plastic skeleton figures into the poses you want, and create a frighteningly fun unique piece perfect for Halloween!  Everything you’ll need to construct your project will be available in the Workshop, but if you have anything special you’d like to add, please feel free to bring it with you.  SEATING IS LIMITED so make your reservations early to be sure to save your seat for this chilling adventure!

Supplies to Bring:  Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including craft or nonstick sheet; scissors; hot glue gun (with refills); your favorite wet adhesive; and anything special you might want to add.  All other materials and supplies will be provided.

It's Almost Time for the Big Show!

The countdown is on!  Only 2 more days until the "Big Show" comes to Phoenix! What is this "Big Show", you ask?  Creativation . . .  previously known as . . . CHA!  And for the first time ever, it's being held here in the Valley of the Sun at the Phoenix Convention Center!  Overflowing with all sorts of mind-boggling fun . . . workshops, vendors, Make and Takes, new 2017 releases, and so much more! . . . it just sets one's heart (and head!) a-spinning!  Almost like a 3-ring circus for the craft industry . . .

and we're going!!!

     
So, what does this all mean?  We will be observing Special Show Hours here in the store so we can take part in all the fun!  Take a look . . .

What Happens at CHA Doesn’t Always Stay at CHA!

As many of you know, we had the opportunity to travel to Anaheim, California a few weeks ago to attend the Craft & Hobby Association Convention & Trade Show . . . better known as CHA.  What an amazing adventure!  From the time we walked into the airport here in Phoenix to board our plane until the time we walked out 5 days later to catch our ride home, it was constant go, go, go!  Here are just a few highlights . . .

Homeward bound . . .

Even though there was so much to see and do at the Convention . . . major information and product overload and a bit overwhelming, for sure! . . . we all came home inspired and enthusiastic to share all that we learned and saw with you in the upcoming months in new Workshops. 

On a personal note, I’d like to extend a very special “thank you” to Dana Edwards and Sherry Bamsey for embarking on this adventure with me.  Without either of these very special women, CHA would most likely have been like so many other conventions I’ve attended in the past.  While it wasn’t quite a “Thelma & Louise” adventure, it was definitely exciting and I, for one, am already looking forward to a return visit next year!
