2017 Keepsakes . . .

“2017 Favorite Moments
Memory Box”
A New Workshop from Jessica Tucker
Saturday ~ February 25, 2017
10:00am – 4:00pm
Cost:  $65.00

Join Jessica as she shares more exciting tips & tricks in the great "World of Altering!"  In her newest Workshop, you'll learn how to use a new product that's all the rave . . . Mica Powders from Prima! . . . as well as the new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and DecoArt Media Distressing products.  This Workshop will be jam packed with techniques from 3 big-hitter brands in distressing and you definitely won't want to miss it!  Each person will begin with an ordinary plain-Jane box, but will leave the Workshop with a uniquely decorated box with accordion pockets inside, perfect for keeping all your special memories throughout the year.  Since everyone will decorate their box in their own style using different color combinations of Mica Powders and embellishments, no two will look alike, but each one will be gorgeous!  You'll also learn how to create the accordion scrapbook within the box with a simple brown bag technique.  Everything you'll need to create your memory box will be available in the Workshop, but if you have any special embellishments you'd like to add, please bring them with you.  Make sure to bring your favorite picture from January of this year, as you'll get to finish the January month of the box.  What a great way to keep up on your scrapbooking in such a fun, quick, and creative way!  Make your reservations early because SEATING IS LIMITED TO 8 students only, and this Workshop is sure to sell out quick!  As a bonus, there will be fun giveaways during the Workshop!

Supplies to Bring:  Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including craft sheet or mat; heat tool; scissors; two paint brushes (a thin fine bristle and a normal thick bristle); and a favorite photo from January.  If you have any special embellishments you'd like to add, please bring them with you, too.  All other supplies and materials will be provided.

What Happens at CHA Doesn’t Always Stay at CHA!

As many of you know, we had the opportunity to travel to Anaheim, California a few weeks ago to attend the Craft & Hobby Association Convention & Trade Show . . . better known as CHA.  What an amazing adventure!  From the time we walked into the airport here in Phoenix to board our plane until the time we walked out 5 days later to catch our ride home, it was constant go, go, go!  Here are just a few highlights . . .

Smooth sailing to
Orange County!

Homeward bound . . .
Even though there was so much to see and do at the Convention . . . major information and product overload and a bit overwhelming, for sure! . . . we all came home inspired and enthusiastic to share all that we learned and saw with you in the upcoming months in new Workshops.

On a personal note, I’d like to extend a very special “thank you” to Dana Edwards and Sherry Bamsey for embarking on this adventure with me.  Without either of these very special women, CHA would most likely have been like so many other conventions I’ve attended in the past.  While it wasn’t quite a “Thelma & Louise” adventure, it was definitely exciting and I, for one, am already looking forward to a return visit next year!

Stay tuned for photos of some fantastic projects
created by some of your favorite artists . . .
coming in a new post soon!

We've Got Something New Just for You!

It doesn’t matter if your passion is in art journaling, creating beautiful layout pages, card making, or even home decor items, we now have a new and exciting product line from Prima that will suit all your mixed media art wants and needs perfectly!  Previously available only in Europe and the United Kingdom, Finnabair has recently come to the U.S. in a big way . . . and we're excited to now have her products in stock!

Who or what is Finnabar you ask?  The Finnabar product line was designed by Anna Dabrowska, also known as Finnabar, a Polish born artist who now lives in Ireland, to allow her the use of more media-based techniques in her own art work.  And now you can experience that same creativity when you use any of her wonderful products.

From gessos to texture pastes of all kinds, we invite you to stop in and pick yours up today . . . we’re sure you’re going to love them all!
