Album Workshop

Join Shelley for another fun and creative day as you construct a unique 7”x5” album created from envelopes using the hidden hinge system made famous by Kathy Orta.  Using the newest paper collection from Authentique, “Classique Elegant”, your completed album will use 24 - 12”x12” sheets of papers, allowing more than enough space for you to keep and display all your precious photos and memories.  Within its elegantly decorated chipboard covers, each album will be overflowing with extra large envelopes, photo mats for 40-50 photos, lots of inserts, cards, multiple pockets, journaling cards, photo mats, and embellishments, all kept snug and secure in the specially designed hidden hinge binding system.  Extra embellishments will also be available to allow you to make your finished album truly unique and distinctive.  Each Workshop kit will include all supplies to create a complete album, along with written instructions for cutting and scoring, as well as color photos.  Seating is limited to only 10 for this fascinating Workshop, so call right away to save your spot and don’t miss a minute of the fun!

After many requests for another one of her popular Little Golden Book classes and fabulous Beach Book classes, Ellen returns with both in this “two-in-one” Workshop!  In this Workshop, you’ll alter a Little Golden Book (“A Day At the Seashore”) into your own artsy journal/scrapbook that you can fill with your special pictures of a trip to the beach!  You’ll be using Authentique’s “Fresh” paper collection and vintage stickers to fill your book, along with vintage flashcards and trims!  You’ll also have fun using lots of different mediums to create backdrops to showcase your photos, and Ellen will show you some fun and unique ways to use stencils to create embellishments for your pages!  You’ll leave the Workshop with your book punched and bound, ready to fill with your own memories!  Not only is this fast paced Workshop for veteran scrappers, but perfect for anyone wanting to get started!!

Supplies to Bring:  All supplies and materials will be provided; however, there is a small list of tools you MUST bring to class:  Basic Craft Kit (BCK) including PAPER TRIMMER; favorite adhesives including a strong hold one like The Ultimate; sand paper; pencil; Weathered Wood & Antique Linen Distress Inks; ink applicators; mini pop dots; edge distresser; and scissors.  If you have a heat gun, the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, an X-acto knife and/or paper piercer, or a ¾” circle punch, please bring them; otherwise, Ellen will provide them to share.  Feel free to bring up to 26 photos, too, and if time allows, you can add some during class!  A camera is always fun to bring, too!  Ellen will also email everyone photos of every page after class for those who would like.
