Brand New to the Calendar!

"Mixed Media Canvas"
The Newest Workshop from Gayl Staffler
Saturday ~ July 8, 2017
10:00am – 4:00pm
Cost:  $45.00

Join Gayl as she returns with another gorgeous mixed media canvas!  Begin by creating a background on a 6" x 6" cradle-style canvas that will feature a bejeweled Relics and Artifacts heart.  Relics and Artifacts are those beautiful cast resin pieces created by Sandra Evertson (www.sandraevertson.com) that are just crying out to be decorated.  Enhance your project with the new Artisan Powders by Frank Garcia from Prima Marketing, as well as the new Finnabair Art Waxes and Sparks paints.  These new paints are sheer pastel, with colors to absolutely die for!  Gayl will also be sharing her own unique style of using everyday household items, such as nuts and bolts, to kick up your design.  She'll also provide you with some tips and tricks about adding glitter, stones, and beads to your piece for just the right pizzazz, all of which promises to add up to a day of mixed media fun!  From beginning to end, you'll have the opportunity to experiment and test techniques to see how they work with your personal crafting style.  Everything about this Workshop spells out fun, so call now to save your space it sells out!  SEATING IS LIMITED TO ONLY 8 students!

Supplies to Bring:  Craft sheet or mat; heat tool; plus any special embellishments you'd like to add to personalize your project.  All other materials and supplies will be provided.

Disclaimer:
For those of you who are familiar with me, you know I am somewhat "height challenged".  Please forgive me for the "artistic" photo angles . . . they were unintentional.  At times, it was necessary to reach the camera over my head without the advantage of looking through the viewfinder to be able to snap photos while running or walking past, or while others were also admiring these amazing celebs, hold my breath, and just point & shoot, hoping for the best!

And that wraps up our Creativation 2017 (CHA) Adventures.
We hope you enjoyed these small glimpses into all the
fun and excitement we felt and enjoyed.
A new countdown begins . . . and we can't wait!
Only 337 days, 16 hours, and 46 minutes 'til Creativation 2018!

What Happens at CHA Doesn’t Always Stay at CHA!

As many of you know, we had the opportunity to travel to Anaheim, California a few weeks ago to attend the Craft & Hobby Association Convention & Trade Show . . . better known as CHA.  What an amazing adventure!  From the time we walked into the airport here in Phoenix to board our plane until the time we walked out 5 days later to catch our ride home, it was constant go, go, go!  Here are just a few highlights . . .

Smooth sailing to
Orange County!

Homeward bound . . .
Even though there was so much to see and do at the Convention . . . major information and product overload and a bit overwhelming, for sure! . . . we all came home inspired and enthusiastic to share all that we learned and saw with you in the upcoming months in new Workshops.

On a personal note, I’d like to extend a very special “thank you” to Dana Edwards and Sherry Bamsey for embarking on this adventure with me.  Without either of these very special women, CHA would most likely have been like so many other conventions I’ve attended in the past.  While it wasn’t quite a “Thelma & Louise” adventure, it was definitely exciting and I, for one, am already looking forward to a return visit next year!

Stay tuned for photos of some fantastic projects
created by some of your favorite artists . . .
