A Special Guest is in the Workshop Today!

It's been a long coming, but we're definitely counting our lucky stars today! Dina Wakley has joined us in our Workshop and we couldn't be more happy! With two fantastic 3-hour Art Journaling Workshops scheduled, everyone who'd reserved a space arrived early, ready and anxious to get to work and get their hands messy.

"Art Journal Play Series: Composition Basics"
Starting at an early 9:00am, the morning session kicked off the day with Dina as she shared the basics of art journaling with everyone in the group using her exciting techniques and tips.  At the end of the Workshop everyone had lots of pages in their journals they'll be able to use in all of their future papercrafting and mixed media adventures.  Everyone had a great time, made great journal pages, and left full of inspiration.

"Art Journal Play Series: Random by Design"
After a short break, Dina continued with her second session with another group of budding art journalists.  Eager to go to work, Dina was able to share her favorite methods for achieving expressive layers, as well as how to combine art techniques in creating interesting art.  Armed with paints, stencils, and stamps galore, everyone went to work, all the while having fun and sharing laughs with each other.

Weekly Highlights . . .

"3-D Card Trilogy"
Sandy Diller ~ Sat., May 12th

Join Sandy Diller on Saturday, May 12th for a fun morning from 10:00am to 12:00pm for "3-D Card Trilogy".  You'll learn techniques in embossing, stamping, scoring, and die cutting, as you create this trio of unique cards that you'll be proud to give that special guy . . . a Steampunk Cascade Card, a Father's Day Easel Card, and a fabulous Tri-Fold Birthday Card, all with a masculine feel.  Bring your basic craft kit including scissors, tape runner, Glossy Accents, and scoreboard if you have them.  All other materials and supplies will be provided.  This class is already beginning to fill, and seating will be limited to only 8, so call (480) 821-3758 early to save your spot and don't miss out!

We're Bursting at the Seams!

Come in and check out the new things arriving almost daily here at CraftFusion!  We're beginning to experience growing pains looking for places to put everything!  Every visit will be like your first!

Our Halloween Department has expanded to include wonderfully spooky papers and embellishments from Authentique, Teresa Collins, Jenni Bowlin, KaiserCraft, Little Yellow Bicycle, Bazzil, and even the man himself . . . Tim Holtz!  And don't forget to check out the skeletons, skulls, and stamps on the Grim Reaper Table.  There's something for everyone!

We've also expanded our ink department with the complete line of Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Paints, Tim Holtz's Distress Ink Pads, Alcohol Inks, Pigment Inks, Embossing Powders, Perfect Pearls, Crackle Paints and Stickles . . . both "original" and "distress", almost like the Colonel's!  And be sure to check out the spray inks with "Radiant Rain" from Luminarte and "Glimmer Mist" from Tattered Angels, too.  Get your color on!

And let's not forget the Ten Seconds, Tim Holtz or the Graphic 45 Departments . . . and the list goes on and on!  As I said, growing pains!  Even our classroom has doubled in size!!
