Jenny Hernandez Returns to CraftFusion!

Easter will be here before you know it, so make your plans now to join paper clay sculptor and artist Jenny Hernandez on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00am to 5:00pm for another exciting and fun-packed day spent sculpting your own cute "Easter Chick" with Paperclay!  Each student will be instructed in the basics of working with paperclay, as they sculpt a vintage style Easter chick standing proud on it's own paper mache box, perfect for storing those Easter candies or treasures.  If time allows, students will paint and finish their creation in class, but if not, each student will receive instructions so that they can finish painting their finished work on their own.  Each student will also receive an instructional booklet with photos that outlines the sculpting process that can be easily referenced for all their future projects.  This Workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate levels, ages 14 and up, so plan on making a day of it . . . reserve your space early and prepare to get your hands dirty.  And while you're at it, have fun!

Lynda Abare is a local artist who teaches on a national level.  She lives with her husband and four furry "children" in the high desert area north of Phoenix, Arizona, and her art is strongly influenced by the native Sonoran landscape.  She is an accomplished artist and teacher in a variety of media including altered art, handmade artist's books and journals, photography, and "Repujado", the fine art of metal embossing . . . just to name a few.   Lynda has taught and exhibited at ART Unraveled, the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina, and is currently teaching at various locations throughout the Phoenix and Tucson areas.

Bett York is also a local artist whose teaching career spans over 20 years.  She currently teaches multi-media pieces of art and one-of-a-kind embellishments, and has taught and exhibited at ART Unraveled several times to rave reviews.  Her artwork combines a bold use of color and texture, both whimsical and joyful, and can be found in many juried exhibitions in art galleries across the country, including Hawaii.

There's A New Face Coming to CraftFusion!

We are extremely happy to announce that there's a new addition to the CraftFusion family . . . Jenny Hernandez!

It's not too early to make your plans to join Jenny on Saturday, December 8th from 10:00am to 5:00pm for an exciting and fun-packed day spent sculpting your own cute Christmas Elf with Paperclay!  Each student will be instructed in the basics of working with paperclay, as well as receive instructions with photos that outline the sculpting process that can be easily referenced for all your future projects.  This Workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate levels so don't be shy . . . make your reservations early and prepare to get your hands dirty.  And while you're at it, have fun!

About the Instructor:  Jenny Hernandez and her family live in the lovely, pine blanketed mountains of Northern Arizona.  Jenny has been creating "little guys" out of paperclay since 1998, and working almost exclusively in the folk art medium since 2004.  She has taught classes all over Arizona, California, and the East Coast of the U.S.  Her work has been carried in art galleries across the U.S., and she has been featured in Art Dolls Quarterly, Celebrate 365, and Better Homes and Gardens' Holiday Crafts magazines.
