“Thankful Canvas ~
Micro Powders for Beginners”

Join Jessica as she shares more exciting tips & tricks in the great "World of Altering!"  In her newest Workshop, you'll learn how to use a new product that's all the rave . . . Mica Powders!  Follow along as Jessica teaches you how to use these magical powders with 4 different techniques on one canvas.  Your completed altered canvas will be a great introduction in learning all about Mica Powders, their properties, and how to use them.  Your canvas will be altered by using the new Tim Holtz "Autumn" stencil for this fall season plus other fun embellishments, and when finished, will be a great fall home decor piece.  Each person will leave the Workshop with a unique canvas as no two persons will create their canvas using the same Mica Power style and color mixing combos.  Everything you'll need to create your canvas will be available in the Workshop, but if you have any special embellishments you'd like to add, please feel free to bring them with you.  Make your reservations early because SEATING IS LIMITED TO 8 students only, and this Workshop is sure to sell out quick!  Call now to save your space so you don't miss out!  As a bonus, two lucky students will have the chance to win their own new Tim Holtz "Autumn" stencil during the Workshop!

  

Supplies to Bring:  Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including craft sheet or mat; heat tool; hot glue gun; scissors; your favorite tool to use for texture paste; and two paint brushes (a thin fine bristle and a normal thick bristle).  All other supplies and materials will be provided.

What Are You Thankful For?

With the Thanksgiving Holiday just around the corner, last night's "ATC Workshop & Swap" was all about what we're thankful for.  From lower temperatures to simple pleasures, we were all once again surprised with everyone's ideas and so excited to see what everyone did!  It's always amazing to see how creative everyone is and what everyone comes up with using a common theme!

For those who missed last night's workshop, it's not too early to make your plans now to join us next month.  Mark your calendars now and save the date . . . Thursday, December 13th . . . when we travel back in time to the 1950's and start “thinking big in a small way"!  Check out the exciting theme and we'll see you then at this fun NO COST workshop.  From experienced to novice . . . you’ll definitely want to see what it’s all about for yourself!  Bring a friend or two . . . the more the merrier!  Create 10 ATCs using the monthly theme . . . all the same or each one different . . . then come and share with others in a true workshop atmosphere.  Or just come and see what's going on with other artists, ask questions, share information, and become inspired!

Remember to save the date . . . the second Thursday of each month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm . . . we look forward to seeing you there!
