Album Workshop

Join Shelley for another fun and creative day as you construct a unique 7”x5” album created from envelopes using the hidden hinge system made famous by Kathy Orta.  Using the newest paper collection from Authentique, “Classique Elegant”, your completed album will use 24 - 12”x12” sheets of papers, allowing more than enough space for you to keep and display all your precious photos and memories.  Within its elegantly decorated chipboard covers, each album will be overflowing with extra large envelopes, photo mats for 40-50 photos, lots of inserts, cards, multiple pockets, journaling cards, photo mats, and embellishments, all kept snug and secure in the specially designed hidden hinge binding system.  Extra embellishments will also be available to allow you to make your finished album truly unique and distinctive.  Each Workshop kit will include all supplies to create a complete album, along with written instructions for cutting and scoring, as well as color photos.  Seating is limited to only 10 for this fascinating Workshop, so call right away to save your spot and don’t miss a minute of the fun!

Supplies to Bring*:  Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including craft sheet; cutting mat; X-acto knife; scissors; 12×12 paper trimmer; scoreboard & scoring tool; pencil; ruler; brayer; bone folder; Scor-Tape or Wonder Tape (red line) (1/4”); ATG gun or any strong tape runner with refills; glue stick (UHU); pop dots; corner rounder or your favorite style rounder; your favorite border punch (only 1 is needed); and ink for distressing (black, dark or medium gray) (optional).  All other materials and supplies will be provided.     (*Please be sure to bring all of these items as you will need and use every item.)

"Romantic Keepsake Box" Soldering Workshop with Carol Rose

Join Carol in this new Workshop for 2014 as you learn how to apply basic Tiffany soldering techniques and use 90-degree angles while creating the perfect box shape of this gorgeous trinket box. This lovely box measures 3"x3"x4" high, with box hinges that you'll create for attaching the lid.  Learn the latest faux mercury glass technique for that extra vintage charm, then finish your box off with antique patina and sealer.  With its soldered decorative feet, as well as soldered rhinestone chain, vintage jewelry components, and metal embellishments, your finished box will sparkle and shine wherever you decide to display it.  This project is a little more challenging than Carol's jewelry projects, but is still open to beginners, so be brave . . . you can do it!
