“What a Wonderful Day Album” Workshop with Shelley Ellis

If you weren't able to attend Shelley's previous Workshop in February, u'll want to make your plans now to join her for this special Encore Date as you create a beautiful 6”x9” album as she shares the how-to’s of her
signature technique. With covers created
from wood and pages from heavy chipboard, this gorgeous album is one that will
definitely be the envy of anyone who sees it.
Using the wonderfully sparkly “Lost & Found Record It!” collection from My Mind’s Eye, your
finished album will be overflowing with all sorts of vintage-inspired
embellishments . . . pockets & tags, ribbons & lace, even a cascading
flip book . . . and so much more! Follow
along as Shelley shares many new techniques, as well as the secrets to her
“magic” hinge system for this wonderful chunky album and other techniques that
you’ll want to use in many of your future projects. Each Workshop kit will include all supplies needed
to create a complete album, along with written instructions and color
photos. With seating limited to only 6, you’ll want to call as soon as you can to
save your spot so you don’t miss a minute in this fun and creative Workshop!
Supplies to Bring: Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including craft sheet;
scissors; paper trimmer; scoreboard & scoring tool; Scor-Tape (1/4” &
1/2”); your favorite wet adhesive (Shelley recommends Ultimate Crafter’s Pick);
glue gun & extra glue sticks; foam pop-up squares or dots; stapler &
staples; Crop-O-Dile or hole punch; and baby powder. All other materials and supplies will be
provided.

“Metal Stamping” Workshop with Polly Hendrickson

names, numbers, quotations, or phrases? Do
you love jewelry, but just aren’t sure exactly how to make your own? Then this is the perfect Workshop for
you! From Beginners and up, you’re
invited to come and play with Polly as she shares the secrets in making your
own metal charms with this fun and easy technique using Metal Alphabet and
Number Stamps on sheet metal. Beginning
with sheet metal that you’ve cut into any shape you like, you’ll learn how to
use the Metal Stamps to get a finished look.
To make your charms personal and unique, you’ll stamp several words or
phrases of your choice onto your cut metal pieces and with just a little
practice, you’ll find you’re on your way to creating fabulous jewelry
pieces. Your finished charms make
wonderful gifts, as well as the perfect embellishment to all your mixed media
projects and journals, too. Call early
to make your reservations, because with seating limited to only 10 students,
this fun and creative Workshop is sure to fill quickly and you don’t want to
miss a minute!
Tools & Supplies
to Bring (if you have them): Bench block; ball
peen hammer; jewelry pliers (round nose & chain nose); small selection of
beads to include with your charms; Alphabet or Number Stamp sets (available at
Harbor Freight Tools for under $10); sheet metal (bronze, brass, copper, or
even sterling silver). Don’t worry if
you don’t have some of the tools; they will be provided for your use. All other supplies and materials will be
provided.
