Thinking Big in a Small Way!

July's monthly "ATC Workshop & Swap" Group met last Thursday evening for another creative evening overflowing with fun and artistic talent. With themes of "Queen of Art", "My Sewing Room", "Gothic Crows", and "Cook's Choice ~ Use of Wood" to choose from, each person put their crafting talents and skills to work and it was so exciting to see the final results.  Just take a look for yourself . . . better yet, come in to see them in person!

TOP ROW: "Grandma's Sewing Room", Lylia Hagerty; "Queen of Art", Jeanette Lee;
"The Crow", Charlotte Fern; "Flowers in the Woods", Jean Hamrick
MIDDLE ROW: "With Every Beat of My Heart", Charmaine Conway;
"Sew Happy", Terri Durst"Night or Day", Sheila Rose
BOTTOM ROW: "Sew Cute!", Nicole Durst"Gothic Crow", Deb Schinzel
Stop by for a visit to check out these & all of the fantastic
mini works of art in our ever expanding "ATC Gallery"!

If you missed the fun this month, join us next month on Thursday, August 13th, when the themes will be "Pups in Cups", "Optical Illusions", "Fairy Tales & Follklore", and "Cook's Choice ~ Use of Recycled Material(s)".  Pick just 1, or mix-and-match from 2, 3, or all 4 categories, but start “thinking big in a small way" and we'll see you then at this fun NO COST workshop. From experienced to novice . . . you’ll definitely want to see what it’s all about for yourself!   It couldn't be any more simple . . . create 12 ATCs using the monthly themes (keeping 1 for yourself & bringing 11 to the Swap) . . . all the same or each one different . . . then come and share with others in a true workshop atmosphere. Or just stop in and see what's going on with other artists, ask questions, share information, have fun, and become inspired!
Remember to save the date . . .
the second Thursday of each month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm . . .
we'll look forward to seeing you there!
Watch for the results in an upcoming post for this month's "Challenge" where everyone created "Altered Birdhouses"!  We're sure you'll agree that the outcome is absolutely amazing!  Each Challenge is voluntary and the "rules" are really very easy ~  anyone in the group can suggest a Challenge and everyone who participates creates 1 Challenge Item for "Show & Tell" using everyday mixed media materials . . . embellishments, paints, papers, stencils, whatever strikes your fancy! . . . then shares their finished art piece with the group.  What could be easier . . . or more fun?
