Join Gayl as you continue your Mixed Media Journey and explore the many uses of Ranger products by designer Wendy Vecchi. Nothing fancy, but the results will be nothing short of awesome! Beginning with a blank canvas, Gayl will guide you through an exciting technique of creating wonderful texture as you live on the edge by "cooking" wet molding paste to create an amazing brick wall. You'll also learn how to combine inks and embossing powders to add an enameled frame to your piece in minutes. This new project is less about sprays and more about the use of acrylic paints, providing you with heavier pigments and a wealth of vibrant colors. Inside your canvas, you'll focus on collage elements, including book text, papers, metal findings, flowers, and so much more! All the information and techniques you'll learn in the Workshop are also easily adaptable to art journals, mini books, or scrapbooking, as well as other paper crafting and mixed media arts. This is a "dress down" Workshop, so join in and get messy as you have fun! SEATING IS LIMITED TO ONLY 8 STUDENTS, so call early to save your space because this exciting Workshop is sure to sell out fast!
Supplies to Bring: Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including craft mat and heat fun. All other materials and supplies, as well as lunch, will be provided. If you'd like to personalize your project, you're encouraged to bring photos, text, and your favorite findings or embellishments to add to your finished piece.
