Imagine
Lewis Carroll meets Marion Smith and you’ll find yourself in a magical, whimsical
Wonderland! Your Adventure will begin
with an 8”x8” art journal that you’ll make from scratch, and fill with lots of
fun, different sized papers, vintage flashcards, tags, and more! You’ll also be playing with new Milk Paints,
Color Washes, and Stencils to create beautiful back drops to showcase your
photos, then complete your pages with “clustering” techniques using images and
stamps from Tweety Jill, bits and pieces from the new Marion Smith Designs Mad Tea Party paper collection, as well
as vintage seam binding that you’ll be hand dying in class! Among many more techniques, you’ll also be
creating lots of easy image transfers to add to your vintage Alice in Wonderland novel pages! Last, but certainly not least, the cover of your
journal will be filled with all sorts of unique flea market finds! Each kit will include everything you need, but
please check the list of basic tools that you’ll need to bring to ensure this
workshop runs smoothly and quickly! This
workshop is designed to be “beginner-friendly” but not for the faint of heart!
With seating limited to only 10 students, you’ll want to call early
to make your reservations because this Workshop is sure to sell out fast! If you have any questions, contact
CraftFusion or email Ellen at ellenrenee5@yahoo.com.
Supplies to Bring:
Basic Craft Kit (BCK), including PAPER TRIMMER; scissors; heat gun; Tim
Holtz “Arrows” Layered Stencil (you’ll be using this multiple times in
different ways, so it would be helpful if everyone had their own; plus you’ll
want to continue working on your journal at home); pencil; ruler; sand paper;
paper piercer; your favorite wet adhesive (Ellen recommends The Ultimate or
Mono Multi with the green lid); stapler (Tim Holtz mini stapler works well);
ink applicators; and Distress Inks (Weathered Wood, Peeled Paint, Victorian
Velvet, and Antique Linen or any colors in this same color pallet). We’ll constantly be using these inks, so
having your own as well as possibly one applicator per color will be very
helpful. All other materials and
supplies will be provided. (updated information)
Optional Supplies to
Bring: (The following items will be available for
your use, but if you have any you could bring, it would be great!) Circle Punches (1” & 1 ½”); edge
distresser; acrylic blocks for stamps; black Versa Fine Ink; corner rounder; a
few small paint brushes; camera; and pictures (if time permits and if they’re organized
and ready to go into your journal).
Also, if you have a Cinch Binding Machine and want to bind your own book,
please feel free to bring it along. If a
few people also have a sewing machine that they wouldn’t mind bringing and sharing,
it would be appreciated. Ellen will
bring hers, but a few more would be great!
We promised more photos . . .

the photos don't even begin to share all the wonderfulness you'll find inside the covers of this fantastic album!
