What's Your Theme?

June's monthly "ATC Workshop & Swap" was another creative evening full of fun and artistic talent. With themes of "The Summer of (Year)", "Watercolor Landscapes", "Dogs in Shakespearean Costumes", and "Cook's Choice ~ Anything Goes!" to choose from, each person put their artistic talents and skills to work and it was amazing to see the results.  Just take a look for yourself . . . better yet, come in to see them in person!

TOP ROW: "By the Sea", Deb Schinzel; "Life is a Mosaic", Lylia Hagerty;

Stop by for a visit to check out these & all of the fantastic
mini works of art in our ever expanding "ATC Gallery"!

If you missed the fun this month, join us next month on Thursday, July 9th, when the themes will be "Queen of Art", "My Sewing Room", "Gothic Crows", and "Cook's Choice ~ Use of Wood".  Pick just 1, or mix-and-match from 2, 3, or all 4 categories, but start “thinking big in a small way" and we'll see you then at this fun NO COST workshop. From experienced to novice . . . you’ll definitely want to see what it’s all about for yourself!   It couldn't be any more simple . . . create 12 ATCs using the monthly themes (keeping 1 for yourself & bringing 11 to the Swap) . . . all the same or each one different . . . then come and share with others in a true workshop atmosphere. Or just stop in and see what's going on with other artists, ask questions, share information, have fun, and become inspired!
Remember to save the date . . .
the second Thursday of each month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm . . .
we'll look forward to seeing you there!

Watch for the results in an upcoming post for this month's "Challenge" where everyone created "Altered Mini Mint Tins"!  We're sure you'll agree that the outcome is absolutely amazing!  Each Challenge is voluntary and the "rules" are really very easy ~  anyone in the group can suggest a Challenge and everyone who participates creates 1 Challenge Item for "Show & Tell" using everyday mixed media materials . . . embellishments, paints, papers, stencils, whatever strikes your fancy! . . . then shares their finished art piece with the group.  What could be easier . . . or more fun?
