It's In the Cards!

This month's "ATC Workshop & Swap" was delayed a week due to our CHA travels, but that didn't dampen the creativity of everyone in the group.  With themes of "New Year Resolutions", "Deck of Cards~Faces & Aces", "Winged Children", or "Cook's Choice~Use of Rubber Stamp(s)" to choose from, everyone jumped right into the new year with their creative juices flowing at high capacity.  Just take a look for yourself!  Of course, everything always looks so much better in person, so if you haven't paid a visit recently to our ever expanding ATC Gallery, you really do need to stop in to see just how amazing these small works of art are up close for yourself.  We'll be stringing up a new line soon so you'll be able to see even more of these fantastic mini masterpieces!

For anyone who missed this month's Workshop, now's the time to make your plans to join in the fun next month . . . Thursday, February 12th . . . when the monthly themes will be "Robots & Spaceships", "Doctor Who?", "Coffee Mug Sayings", and "Cook's Choice~Favorite Technique(s)".  Pick just 1, or mix-and-match from 2, 3, or all 4 categories, but start “thinking big in a small way" and we'll see you then at this fun NO COST workshop.  From experienced to novice . . . you’ll definitely want to see what it’s all about for yourself!   It couldn't be any more simple . . . create 12 ATCs using the monthly themes (keeping 1 for yourself & bringing 11 to the Swap) . . . all the same or each one different . . . then come and share with others in a true workshop atmosphere. Or just stop in and see what's going on with other artists, ask questions, share information, have fun, and become inspired!

Stay tuned for the results in February of this month's "Challenge" where we'll all be creating "Altered Metal Hearts".  The outcome is sure to be exciting, as always!  Each Challenge is voluntary and the "rules" are really very easy ~  anyone in the group can suggest a Challenge and everyone who participates creates 1 Challenge Item for "Show & Tell" using everyday mixed media materials . . . embellishments, paints, papers, stencils, whatever strikes your fancy! . . . then shares their finished art piece with the group.  What could be easier . . . or more fun?
