In Passing . . .

Judy & Leonard Jardine
October 2007
Over the past year, I've shared the news with many of you of my stepmother's, Judy, battle with pancreatic cancer.  After a long year of doctors' visits, chemo and radiation treatments, and taking medication after medication, this past Sunday, Judy developed severe complications which required the need for her to be transported to a hospice facility.  Within a few hours of her arrival, she unfortunately lost her fight and quietly slipped away from us.  While deeply saddened by her passing, as a family we are comforted in knowing that she's now in a more peaceful place where she's no longer having to endure the pain she's fought this past year.

I would like to express our family's gratitude and thanks to everyone for their warm thoughts and kind words of encouragement over the past few days. Without them, a difficult time would have been even more difficult.  And for anyone with a loved one who's battling a terminal illness of their own, please take a few minutes out of your busy schedules each day to let them know how much you care and that they're loved.  A single phone call . . . a scribbled note . . . it's just three simple words . . . "I Love You".

  3. Thank you so much to everyone for all their hugs, kind words, well wishes, and prayers. Each one has helped ease the sorrow of this difficult time even just a little bit for not only myself, but for each person in our family as well.
