12 Years Ago Today . . .

Everywhere across this proud country, America will observe the tragedy of one of the most terrible days in this country's history - the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City on September 11, 2011.  Some will do volunteer work; some will attend church services.  Some will join friends and others in public memorials paying tribute to all those who lost their lives or were injured on that fatal day 12 years ago.  Ceremonies calling out the names of those who lost their lives will be held at Ground Zero in New York City, while bells will ring and wreathes will be laid to honor the victims of United Airlines Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA.  At the Pentagon, a ceremony will be held for the families of the victims and survivors of the attack on the nation's military headquarters.

However you choose to remember, please take a moment today to reflect and say a prayer for all those who lost their own lives or their loved ones on that horrific day 12 years ago.  And while doing so, please say a special thank you to all of the first responders that gave so much of themselves . . . emergency medical personnel, firemen, policemen, and military personnel alike.  Thank you all for all your efforts in everything you did on that sad day and all that you do everyday of our lives.
