Show & Tell . . .

If you're a frequent visitor of CraftFusion, you know we always encourage our guests to bring in and show off their creations.  This past weekend, we were lucky enough that one of our favorite visitors did just that.

In April, Melanie Edwards came all the way from the Los Angeles area to attend Gladys Moreno's "Vintage Photo Box" Workshop.  Melanie loved the project so much, that once she was home, she decided to recreate the project, but added a few "tweeks" and her own flair.  Last Saturday, Melanie returned to Chandler for Gladys' "Book of Dreams" Workshop and brought her finished masterpiece to show off.  She definitely wowed our socks off and we couldn't wait to take photos to share.  See if you don't agree.

Melanie wanted to use "Time" as the theme for her project, and gathered papers, metal pieces, knobs, and whatever else she could find related to the subject.  To capture her love of bling and flowers, she embellished the overall project tastefully with blooms, pearls, and rhinestones, all coordinating perfectly with the warm, vintage hues of the papers she'd chosen.

She also doubled the width of the hanging pocket system of Gladys' original project, which allowed her extra space for more photos, memorabilia, and memories. Melanie created this gorgeous work of art for her best friend as a housewarming gift, but wanted to show it off before it was passed on to it's new forever home.  What a lucky friend!

Thank you for sharing, Melanie!

If you'd like to have us share one of your projects, please bring it in to show off. We love seeing and hearing about everything you create!
