All Tangled Up!

Yesterday's Do Tangle Make 'N Take with Kathi Hofferth was a great success!  We had visitor after visitor stop by to get acquainted with Kathi, as well as learn a little bit of her tangled magic.  Each person created Artist Trading Card (ATC) sized art pieces that they could take home with them to practice their doodling and tangling.  If you weren't able to make it yesterday, be sure to check out Kathi's upcoming Workshops on the website and call to save your space today!

A New Face Comes to CraftFusion!

The CraftFusion family is growing with the addition of another new artist and very talented instructor to the team . . . Kathi Hofferth!  You may be familiar with Kathi from the classes she previously taught at Jerry's Art-A-Rama, but we couldn't be more excited to have Kathi decide to now call CraftFusion her new home.  Here's a short sneak peek about Kathi and her art: 

"I've been involved in some kind of art since I picked up my first crayon.  I grew up in the Midwest, then made the move to Arizona 20 years ago.  I've been married to my husband, Dan, for 34 years and we have three wonderful grown children.  I get to experience the wonder of art as I teach 3-5 year olds for the Town of Gilbert's Park and Recreations on a part-time basis, but I also enjoy the opportunity to create and share my art with others by teaching what I love. Some of my favorite arts to teach are Do-Tangling, Altered Books, and Journals.  Playing in so many different mediums and seeing the spontaneous results always gets my creative juices going.  I've been drawing and playing in paint my entire life, as well as beading for over 30 years, and I love being able to share with others.  My favorite quote, which I try to pass on to my students, is "There is no such thing as failure, only learning experiences"." 

If you love mixed media art as much as Kathi, you'll want to make plans to come and get acquanted while you spend an exciting afternoon with her on Wednesday, March 2nd from 4:00pm to 6:00pm for a Make 'N Take.  We'll look forward to seeing you there to join us in welcoming her to our extremely talented Family!

ZenDoodles Returns in A Rainbow of Color!

Most of us have doodled since we were young.  But in recent years, doodling has become an art form.  "ZenDoodles in Color", a Zentangle-inspired art, is an easily learned, fun, and relaxing way to create beautiful designs by drawing particular patterns.  Usually done in black and white, this new and affordable Workshop with Lynnita Knoch on Friday, June 14th from 10:30am-1:00pm will introduce you to the World of Color.  You'll use color to add another layer of design to these unique pieces of art, making them look more dimensional and alive.  Lynnita will also provide a basis in color theory, as well as share new exercises for creating more ZenDoodles "tangles" (doodles) and how to use them to create your own beautiful artwork.  All pens, pencils, and tortillions and art paper used in the Workshop will be provided to create your own design.  Take a minute and stop in to see the gorgeous project samples, then make your reservations to save your seat in this exciting Workshop and start "doodling" beautiful art pieces of your own!

 

 

Supplies to Bring:  All supplies and materials will be provided; however, please bring inexpensive white or cream scrap paper for practice and notes, as well as a pen or pencil for notes.  Optional Supplies: Your favorite paints (watercolor, acrylic, alcohol inks, etc.), colored pencils or pastels, color markers, and paint brushes and/or dabbers (smaller ones are best).  Please NO OIL PAINTS, as these take too long to dry.

We've recently been lucky enough to add another new, and very talented, artist and teacher to the CraftFusion family . . .
